You are welcome to view any of our homes that are for rent by walking up to any empty home (that's a house with a large RENT ME BOX) or flying up to one of the apartments that are currently vacant. Please do not attempt to disturb an occupied home or you may find yourself ejected from the property. If you enter a home unathorized, we may eject you from the SIM.
PRIM COUNTS.
Each home and apartment has a different prim allowance and there is a prim counter in the rental box which identifies how many prims are allocated for that unit. This includes the house as well as any furniture which may currently be placed there. We do try to give generous prim allowances. If you need more than the current allotment, we sometimes have a few extras available but they are limited.
AMENITIES
Each home comes with a DVD player outfitted with a constantly updated selection of current movies and live tv. Many of them are still playing in theatre in Europe so this is a very good value for your money! We also have porn included in each tv! Unfortunately, due to second life restrictions, we are unable to provide the the tower homes with a DVD player but they do have a TV unit and the movie is changed daily. In most cases it will be Porn unless residents decide they want something different. In the near future, we will be building a large cinema or sky theatre for our residents. We also have a club planned for events such as weddings and parties. Our first Sim wedding is scheduled to take place in mid-december! This is a 4 seasons sim and as such the landscaping and decor will frequently change. Around the beginning of December, snow will start to appear on the trees and sidewalks, ice may appear on the ground, and eventrually the sim will be completely coveed in snow! Get out your boots! As well, our club and mountain top gazebo will probably have a different theme each season. We are planning to have an ice palace theme for the winter season so we expect it to be very beautiful with lot of ice and light shows nightly! We are also planning live music events for the enjoyment of our residents and to encourage use of our apartment/hotel. There will be contests and gatherings for many holidays - you may be able to win a week of rent for free just by being the best decorated home on the sim!
We also offer a selection of furniture free for tenants to use such as very nice sexgen beds and hottubs, sofas, kitchens, rugs, and lighting fixtures. Many of our houses have have been prefurnished but we will remove furniture on request. If you see a piece of funiture on the land, you may be able to buy it. Simply right click the item you like, and if a price is shown, it's for sale. Don't forget to take it into inventory as these are one of a kind used items with reduced prices. We have a lovely acquarium in our tower and have copies of it for sale at a very reasonable price. If you would like one, IM the Celebration Manager, Janelle Taurog and she will sell you one and have Davie Sopor set it up for you for just $400. This is a substantial savings off the cost of buying it at retail! We also have a few fish available (although not very many) that you can put in your tanks. We will be selling beautifully detailed fish in a vendor either in the tower or in the club.
Be sure to visit our Jaws lounge for a tasty surprise! And visit the surprise desk near the elevator in the tower for some fun too! Soon, we will have a photo booth available, and we may even have a full photo studio if our budding photographer (Janelle) manages to get her act together for those special sim related event photos!
As a visitor, you are more than welcome to enjoy our lovely parks and water areas. We have a beautiful gazebo, with cuddle tuffets on top of our mountain, and you can feed our ducks and koi in our pond! We also have a selection of sculptures and lots of animals roaming our parks. These items also change with the seasons! So as you can see, you will never be bored by being a resident on this island!
SO WHAT DOES THIS ALL COST AND WHY ARE YOU MORE THAN SOME OTHERS?
Our rates are between 3 and 4 cents per prim. If you want to know the price and prim allowance on a specific home, click the rental box beside it. For the tower homes and the fully furnished townhomes the prim allowance only includes your personal prims but for the individual homes it also includes your house and any furniture currently there.
We charge a bit more that the average crowded sim, but we think we're worth it. We won't crowd you into a hatbox, and you won't have any people falling out of the sky and onto your roof.
In fact, we have put in place a strict no sky builds policy! There are absolutely no sky homes here! Furtheremore, all of our homes with the exception of the townhouses have an unrestricted view of the ocean AND the mountain and the townhomes have a view of at least one! You are receiving the movies and DVD's at a huge discount and are being allowed to use the entire park area anytime you wish as long as you don't litter the sim wih your prims. All this just because we love our renters! You can't get this when you own land and you sure can't get it on most rental sims. In fact, we don't even charge your prims for the use of our waves! NO landlord does this but us! To us, everything is common area except what is in your actual house. And we even do your lawn mowing and look after your flowers and trees! And of course with being a renter, you are free to upgrade to a bigger or smaller house at any time with no concerns about losing that investment you made! Why invest 10 times the cost of a nice rental land just to get a single small piece of land where you can't even enjoy the park areas when you can rent and get much much more?
Why do we cost 3 and 4 cents a prim when you can get a house for 2.5 - 3.5 cents a prim elsewhere? As noted above, we will never crowd you. All of your views are guaranteed to be maintained FOREVER and you are getting a huge value for your linden dollar. It's very costly to have a 4 seasons landscaping and to constantly update island content in the way that we are doing AND give the kind of attention that we are giving. You really need to have a full time staff member dedicated to it and Celebration Cove is lucky enough to have 1 full timer and 2 part timers! You may have noticed that there is not a single duplicated home on the island like there are on other islands. This is because we want you to be able to express individuality and not be considered one of a pack of paying sardines. So instead of being thought of as tenant 6a, you will actually have a uniquely styled home with the advantages of full ownership but none of the hassles AND the real benefits of renting.
What are the big benefits of renting?

- it's very easy to move - if you don't like it, you pack up your prims once your lease runs out and you are done! No hassle!
- if you get stuck someplace that suddenly goes commerical or puts up stuff you don't like, you can leave with no hassle
- Most landlords really want to work with their tenants (atleast we do) to keep them.
- No costly upfront investment
- You can use all the common areas at no additional charge - this is very rare with ownership even on an estate.
That's a good question! In our opionion, there is no real reason to own unless you own an estate. Owning an estate is extremely expensive ($1600.00 US just to start and then $300.00 monthly). However, there are a few benefits to owning.
Resale value - when you buy land, you have to lay out a huge chunk of cash just like in real life. So when you rent - isn't it like throwing my money away? NO, not really. When you buy land in second life, you are still subject to a tier payment although sometimes the tier can be lower than a rental payment. Generally a rental payment will be approximately 1 1/2 times the cost of a tier although it really varies depending on amenities and what is being offered. NOT ALL RENTALS ARE THE SAME. Just because it's cheap does not mean it's good, you have to really look at what you are getting! In the case of Celebration Cove, we tell you up front that we are not the cheapest, our rates are comparative to Mystique Isles but we actually offer you a bit more. If you decide to leave land that you own, you have the right to sell. Sometimes you can make a huge profit but sometimes you can lose. Here are two widely varying scenarios: the management of Celebration Cove both have owned land in the past, one of them owned some land in Mainland 2 years ago and sold it at a stunning profit more than tripling his initial investment. However land prices have since plummeted and he now has some land he can't give away! By the same token, one of the other management members purchased some land earlier this year for apprxoimately 53000 lindens and was unable to sell it for more than 20,000 lindens even tho the land was improved on. Sometimes the only option with land is to abandon it rather than pay more tiers and you end up losing that investment completely!
So, the answer to the question is: unless you have a deep need to terraform renting is probably your better option and will cost you less in the long run. Just be sure to find a SIM that you like unless you like playing the moving game frequently!
Making Your Home Your Own!
Do we allow customizations? It depends.... Most homes are modifiable but we won't allow you to modify them because we own them and can't allow everyone to modify our property. That would be dangerous and we hope you understand. However, we DO allow changes in wall paper, possibly even an exterior if you don't like what's there. If you have a texture you just love and provided it fits in with our theme for exterior stuff we will be more than happy to make a change for you. Inside, we are not as picky - that house is YOURS! And you can decorate it as you please! We do charge a fee for any time we spend changing textures in your house but it's very small and we will make sure you are happy. We even have a large selection of textures available so you don't have to buy them yourself.
